Malik Da Freak aka D. Masters (Master of Ceremonies)
Malik A. Pinkney aka Malik Da Freak/D. Masters graduated in 1998 from Oxon Hill Senior High School in Maryland. He began his radio career only two weeks after graduation. He began as an intern in the promotions department of 93.9 WKYS Radio. At age 18, he became the Executive Producer of the Live Squad radio program. Later he would fulfill his childhood dream of becoming host of his own show. In 2002, he would be paired up with the up and coming personality 2Face. Collectively they became “The Wildboyz.” The Wildboyz was a very popular show and was a staple in the DC radio industry at that time. The Wildboyz, after only nine months on-air, became the number one radio show at night in the area. Even with the success of the show, it was cancelled in the fall of 2002. After the devastating news, Malik had no choice but to continue on his journey as a solo weekend and overnight host. During this time he attended the Connecticut School of Broadcasting to learn more about the industry that he loved.
Malik has used the art of radio to share with others. He has worked with such radio stars as BET’s Joe Clair, MTV’s LaLa, Russ Parr, and a host of others. Currently, Malik is the host and Executive Producer of the Family Show. He also is recognized as one of the top club emcees in the DC metropolitan area. He has hosted and "emceed" at several clubs in the DC metro area including DC Live/VIP Club, Platinum Nightclub, Republic Gardens, 2K9, Love, Fur, as well as hosted the main dance floor of H20 one of DC's premier nightclubs from 2002 to 2007. In addition, he also is an accomplished keyboard player in the GoGo music industry.
“Its success guaranteed with no excuses.” Malik A. Pinkney
Lydia Harris (Voice Talent)
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Theatre from Clark Atlanta University and a Masters Degree in Arts Administration from Southeastern University. I started in the arts as a dancer and backstage brat of the opera. I developed as a dancer and actor in college and participated in Emperor Jones, Fantasia, Carousel, Prisoner of 2nd Ave, Pippin, For Colored Girls; Sweet Charity and a number of other productions. I also participated backstage as Prop Mistress, Stage Manager, House, Manager, Lighting Assistant and Choreographers Assistant.
My voice over credits include Este’Lauder, Intel, CVS, Fisher Price, Cheer Wine, 8 o’clock Coffee, Pizza Hut, Cistic Fibrosis, as well as several PSAs and promos for WPFW-FM in Washington, DC. Be advised that I’ve been told that my phone voice, natural, down-to-earth style is better than the audition "reel." But listen to it anyway. You will like what you hear. My approach to this work is from an artists’ sensibility. This means that when I organize the reading or scene through - say - a dance sensibility, you'll find a requiem pavane in one act, a tango in a reading and a Katherine Dunham island stomp in a dance piece. Any art is wonderful for life and spirit - seems to me to be the best organizing principle for deriving substance from real-life experience and driving substance back into life.
